Rotaract International Weekend (RIW) in DUBAI

On the 9th of March we kicked off our first Rotaract International Weekend here in the UAE. The weekend consisted of 5 days of action-packed and insightful events which showcased and immersed the Rotaractors into the beauty and culture of Dubai. We were so excited to welcome 67 Rotaractors from 24 different countries! Many of the big monuments were explored: Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, EXPO2020, JBR, a Traditional Dhow Cruise, and the old souq!

On the 10th of March, we hosted a Tolerance and Coexistence Conference at the Dubai Exhibition Center in EXPO2020. The conference was moderated by our guest Flo Akinbiyi and started with a welcome speech from Commissioner General for Rotary at EXPO2020, Mr. Ahmad Belselah. We were then honored to hear Chief of International Participants Officer Omar Shehadeh talk about Diversity at EXPO2020. Lastly, our very own Rotarian, President of Rotary Club of Cosmopolitan, and Rotary Peace Fellowship District Chair David Gibson Moore delivered a speech about the Rotary Area of Focus - Tolerance and Peace!

We want to thank all of the Rotaractors for coming and the organization team involved in making this weekend a once in a lifetime experience!

We hope to see you all back here to enjoy another round of fun filled adventures 🤩
