Up to 10% of students will find it difficult to read and spell properly either because they have dyslexia or don’t get a chance to practice enough at home with learning materials that would be entertaining. This mainly affects not only their academic achievements, but also their confidence and self-esteem.
The children’s Literacy Drive is a project that’s near and dear to Rotaract Club of Jumeirah and part of our mission where we ACT to IMPACT a lot of lives through sustainable community service projects locally in the UAE and internationally; Whilst also contributing to one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations for providing Quality Education.
On the 3rd of March 2022, the clubs project was to donate Story books written in Arabic and English to the National Charity School of Sharjah. They have partnered up with Saniya Chughtai the founder of the Edutainment brand, The Wadi Tribe, to distribute her story books.
