On November 2nd, 2024, Rotaract Bur Dubai hosted an unforgettable Breast Cancer Awareness Art Night at the Indigo Hotel, Business Bay. This event was a showcase of fine art and a meaningful gathering aimed at raising awareness and support for breast cancer research, in partnership with the Al Jalila Foundation.
A Night of Artistic Exploration
The highlight of the evening was the silent auction, a format we proudly embraced from previous years. The auction featured approximately twenty unique artworks from several talented artists.
On the agenda of the event, we also witnessed a "Guess the Price" game, which was an engaging activity that invited attendees to estimate the prices of various art pieces. The top three participants, who guessed closest to the actual prices, received some special gifts, with first place receiving a painting.
Supporting a Noble Cause
Rotaract Bur Dubai's dedication ensured that over half of the proceeds from the auction were designated to support the Al Jalila Foundation, aiding their vital research and education efforts in the fight against breast cancer. The remaining proceeds of the evening went to the artists in appreciation for donating their artwork to such an important cause.
